About the Project

Today, more people than ever are being forced to flee their homes due to war, violence, and persecution. As of May 2024, over 120 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide. In the face of rising hostility and xenophobia, it is more important than ever to challenge negative narratives and promote compassion towards refugees and people seeking safety.

Hope Away From Home showcases art that reflects the power of inclusion. It sheds light on the strength and resilience of people rebuilding their lives after being forcibly displaced. Meeting new friends, learning, reuniting with family, and finding work are just some of the ways that people can find hope in new communities.
