Accessibility Statement

Website Accessibility Statement

UNHCR is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. We want everyone who visits to feel welcome and find the experience useful.

Our website endeavors to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and conformance with these guidelines will help make the web a more inclusive space.

By considering such things as media alternatives, semantic markup, keyboard support, text contrast, and more, a current level of accessibility can be determined. The UNHCR website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA, meaning some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We are actively working to fix these issues to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.
