R\u00e9pondre aux besoins des personnes d\u00e9plac\u00e9es pendant une crise de sant\u00e9 publique historique<\/h2>\n

Il s\u2019agit de la pire crise de sant\u00e9 publique que nous ayons connue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale en 100 ans. Et aucun aspect de notre vie n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9pargn\u00e9 par cette pand\u00e9mie. Le virus ne fait pas de distinction. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Et chacun d\u2019entre nous court le risque de contracter la COVID-19. Toutefois, ce sont les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et les personnes d\u00e9plac\u00e9es qui y sont le plus expos\u00e9s dans le monde. Vivant le plus souvent dans des conditions de promiscuit\u00e9, il leur est difficile de maintenir une distance physique des autres. Et l’absence de savon, d’installations sanitaires et une mauvaise hygi\u00e8ne sont autant de facteurs de risque. En effet, nombreux sont ceux qui ont \u00e9lu domicile dans des villes dens\u00e9ment peupl\u00e9es dont les syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 sont souvent d\u00e9faillants ou inadapt\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

En outre, la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 pose \u00e9galement de nombreux d\u00e9fis aux organisations humanitaires, comme le HCR qui tente de fournir une aide de toute urgence aux d\u00e9plac\u00e9s. Sans oublier les restrictions en termes de d\u00e9placement et l\u2019acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 aux r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, aux demandeurs d\u2019asile, aux personnes d\u00e9plac\u00e9es et aux apatrides qui demeurent aux quatre coins du monde.<\/p>\n

Tandis que le virus mortel continue de se propager, le HCR poursuit ses efforts en veillant sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la sant\u00e9 des populations d\u00e9plac\u00e9es.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a9 HCR\/Alassane Guindo<\/p><\/div>\n

Mari\u00e9e et maman de cinq enfants, Liesse<\/strong> a fui la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo pour se r\u00e9fugier en Ouganda en 2015. Elle a pu apprendre la couture dans le centre communautaire financ\u00e9 par le HCR \u00e0 Kampala. Apr\u00e8s ses six mois de formation, elle a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de louer un petit atelier de couture pr\u00e8s de chez elle, et son entreprise \u00e9tait florissante. Mais lorsque la pand\u00e9mie s\u2019est propag\u00e9e jusqu\u2019en Ouganda, le gouvernement a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le confinement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la population afin de contenir le virus. Depuis, Liesse se consacre \u00e0 la production de masques non m\u00e9dicaux lavables, fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir d\u2019un tissu africain appel\u00e9 Kitenge. Elle esp\u00e8re pouvoir confectionner 50 masques par jour.<\/p>\n

\u00a9 HCR\/Yousef Alhariri<\/p><\/div>\n

Marwan<\/strong>, un r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 syrien, avec son prototype de robot en LEGOMD<\/sup> qu\u2019il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9laborer dans le laboratoire d\u2019innovation du camp de Za\u2019atari en Jordanie. Distribuant automatiquement du d\u00e9sinfectant pour les mains pour \u00e9viter que les utilisateurs n\u2019aient \u00e0 toucher le flacon, ce robot contribue \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la propagation du virus.<\/p>\n

Au<\/strong> Mali<\/strong>, des enfants d\u00e9plac\u00e9s ont re\u00e7u du HCR des radios \u00e0 \u00e9nergie solaire ainsi que des fournitures scolaires pour respecter les mesures de distanciation physique suite \u00e0 la fermeture de leur \u00e9cole \u00e0 cause de la pand\u00e9mie. Les enseignements sont dispens\u00e9s via une \u00e9mission diffus\u00e9e \u00e0 la radio, ce qui permet \u00e0 des milliers d\u2019enfants de rester scolaris\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
