Personne laiss\u00e9 pour compte : Nous connaissons actuellement une crise engendrant des d\u00e9placements de population sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. Les conflits en Syrie<\/a>, au Soudan du Sud<\/a>, en R\u00e9publique centrafricaine<\/a>, au Burundi et en Am\u00e9rique centrale<\/a> provoquent des exodes massifs qui ne cessent d\u2019augmenter chaque jour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la violence, des familles doivent abandonner tout ce qu\u2019elles poss\u00e8dent.<\/p>\n

Des millions de familles arrivent dans les camps de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s totalement d\u00e9poss\u00e9d\u00e9es, ou sont contraintes de vivre dans des logements insalubres ou des abris \u00e0 moiti\u00e9 construits. Nous pensons que tous les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s m\u00e9ritent d\u2019avoir un toit et d\u2019\u00eatre en s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Seul le HCR poss\u00e8de les capacit\u00e9s et l’expertise n\u00e9cessaires pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette crise et prendre en charge des millions de familles. Mais nous ne pouvons pas le faire seuls.<\/p>\n

Une famille irakienne d\u00e9plac\u00e9e devant son logement temporaire dans le camp d’Al Jamea’a. Apr\u00e8s avoir parcouru 10 kilom\u00e8tres pour fuir les exactions commises par Daech, cette famille a re\u00e7u une tente d’urgence comme abri pr\u00e9liminaire.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Notre tente \u00e9tait trop petite, et il y avait de la poussi\u00e8re partout. Le fait d\u2019avoir pu recevoir une Unit\u00e9 d’habitation est une b\u00e9n\u00e9diction dans ce d\u00e9sert. Nous sommes tr\u00e8s reconnaissants pour l\u2019abri que le HCR nous a fourni… Nous avons maintenant suffisamment d’espace pour nous d\u00e9placer \u00e0 notre aise et avons commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 acheter quelques objets, comme une commode et une t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, pour nous sentir chez nous. Cet abri nous permet d\u2019avoir plus d\u2019intimit\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Se mettre \u00e0 l\u2019abri repr\u00e9sente un besoin vital pour tous les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s contraints d\u2019abandonner leur foyer. Plus nous sommes en mesure de fournir un toit rapidement aux victimes, plus nous pouvons sauver de vies. B\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un logement \u00e0 long terme permet aux familles d’accomplir leurs t\u00e2ches m\u00e9nag\u00e8res quotidiennes, de travailler, d’\u00e9tudier et de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 leur avenir.<\/p>\n

My wife, who is sick, was feeling unwell. I had to push her on a wheel barrel because she couldn\u2019t walk. The area around Bzeibiz bridge was so crowded and the road was blocked. We came only with the clothes on our back, nothing more. We entered Baghdad without sponsorship. When the police saw her at the bridge, they let us go through, because she looked as if she was about to die. From then on, we went straight to the camp and moved in on the same day. Our house was 200 square meters, it\u2019s a big house, with 6 rooms and all the facilities, built in a modern design. When we arrived in the camp, we were living in tents. It was so difficult. We were sweating constantly, day and night. I would try to use a fan to help Fatma, but she was feeling horrible. [UNHCR] provided us with air coolers and rechargeable fans but the weather this summer was just too harsh. The tent was just too small, with dust everywhere. We were so excited when we found out [about the RHU]. The RHU is a blessing from god for us in the desert. We are so grateful to UNHCR for providing us shelter. The low ceiling was the worst in the tent. During the summer it was very hot and you couldn\u2019t move inside either.
