Please help us put a real roof over their heads
Shelter is important because it protects us from the elements, provides us with a basic sense of security, and a place for our families to interact. But it is also linked to many other aspects of what we consider "normal life": privacy, independence, dignity, safety. Shelter is fundamental to the enjoyment of many human rights. It is as basic a human need as food, water, sanitation and medical care. And like each of these, it is a need UNHCR strives to provide to millions of refugees each year.
We cannot, however, do it alone. Our ability to succeed depends in large part on caring and committed individuals like you. Please help.
Beyond just making do

Cardboard boxes, plastic sheeting, rags, tin ... These are often the only materials refugees can find to protect themselves and their families from the frequently harsh elements. Your donation will allow them to do more than just make do. You will help put a real roof over every refugee's head.
