Right now, more than 20 million refugees around the world are struggling for survival. It's a startling fact, but one that is often met with indifference because many people living in "first world" countries don't understand what it means to be a refugee. It's happening a million miles away. Why should they care? That's why our new fundraising campaign aims to showcase the plight of refugees in a way that Canadians can relate to. Bring this global crisis closer to home. Hopefully with understanding comes empathy. And the desire to help those less fortunate who want nothing more than to return home and resume normal, everyday lives. Just like you. Your help can make a difference.
